Vale Kerry Hill

Wood & Grieve Engineers (WGE) would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of renown Australian architect Kerry Hill, who recently passed away.

WGE is grateful to having worked with Kerry and his team on a number of exciting WA projects, including the State Theatre, the new City of Perth Library and Fremantle’s Kings Square amongst others.

He was awarded the Australian Institute of Architects’ Gold Medal in 2006, the Singapore President’s design award in 2010 and was appointed an Officer of the Order of Australia in 2012.

Kerry also won WA’s highest architectural gong, the George Temple Poole award — awarded in 2016 to two projects for the first time in its history — for his work on both the City of Perth Library and his work on Como The Treasury Hotel.

Kerry leaves behind a great legacy of beautiful architecture which he will long be remembered for.
