Stantec in the Community

Wood & Grieve Engineers (WGE), now part of Stantec is rolling up our sleeves this week and heading into the community as part of a global initiative.

Stantec in the Community Week officially launches today, which will see our people getting out and about in our local communities throughout the week.

From picking up rubbish on Cosy Corner beach in Albany to planting trees in Melbourne; Sydney’s team will also be helping to pack charity food boxes, while Busselton will be lending a hand potting native trees at their local Landcare Nursery.

The initiative is all part of WGE and Stantec’s passion for creating strong and vibrant communities. Through donations, sponsorships, and volunteering, we connect with our communities and help strengthen them in meaningful ways.

WGE’s Managing Director José Granado commended the initiative and those who quickly put up their hand to be involved.

“Since joining forces with Stantec, it’s been apparent the two organisations share similar values and supporting the community in which our people live and work is absolutely one of them,” Granado said.

“Over the years our people have donated their time, money and expertise in a myriad of ways – from our infamous Busso Bike Ride to engaging in pro-bono project work, such as the Jo Wheatley All Abilities Play Space.

“Stantec in the Community Week is further extension of that dedication to help the community. It also reinforces the terrific partnership we have found in Stantec that our people will continue to be encouraged  to undertake philanthropic activities that aim to make a difference in the places where we live and work.”

Keep your eye on WGE’s LinkedIn and Instagram Business Pages for updates on what our people will be up to throughout the week.
