Completion year 2016
The project comprises a nine storey residential apartment building built over ground floor activated retail spaces and three levels of basement car parking. The design includes generous green spaces and makes the most of solar and natural ventilation throughout each apartment.
The building structure has been designed around the use of precast load-bearing walls and columns to speed up construction time. In addition, the building has been designed to enable future uplift of additional levels.
The site is affected by localised flooding on the surrounding streets. WGE’s civil team devised an innovative solution to minimise the impact of flooding and reduce the height of the basement car park entry ramp crest, which in turn reduced the length of the ramp and maximised the car parking area available.
