St John of God’s Greensborough Day-Care Facility provides classes and community-based learning opportunities for disabled people living in Melbourne’s North, to develop their skills and provide enjoyable activities for them to do.

WGE designed this purpose built facility comprising eight stand-alone buildings linked together by a continuous undercover walkway that encircles native bushland. The existing chapel building was extended and renovated to act as the community hub that includes lunchtime cooking facilities and areas to socialise and relax, as well as the administration office area.

Due to the sloping site, the site-wide overland stormwater flowpaths required specialist design with a new detention basin created to fit in with the future VicRoads ring-road masterplan.
