Completion year 2020
Redcliffe Hospital is a 250-bed facility approximately 28km’s north of Brisbane CBD. Due to its large catchment area Redcliffe Hospital has engaged WGE as the Principal Consultant to provide Design and Construct Tender documentation to provide a new multi-story carpark to accommodate the current setting and the future development of this site. With its prominent location, the new carpark will be a focal point for the local community and a flagship asset for Redcliffe Hospital.
WGE are proud to be assisting Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) in producing a functional carpark that will enhance the services currently offered by Redcliffe Hospital. WGE are the appointed Principal Consultant, employing all design disciplines and coordinating the process with MNHHS.
In our Principal Design Consultant role, we have taken the project from Concept Design, under which a Ministerial Infrastructure Designation (MID) was obtained for the development by MNHHS, through to developed design where the project has been sent for Design and Construct Tendering. WGE will be retained by MNHHS as their advisors throughout the finalisation of design and construction.
In order to come up with the concepts of the car park, WGE chaired various User Group sessions, including coordination with the community to deliver something that is more than just a car park. The façade of the car park structure underwent extensive optioneering and coordination to come up with an Ocean theme; designed to appear as though the façade is moving like a wave.
WGE are looking forward to assisting MNHHS further with the successful delivery of this project.
