Lachlan’s Line is a nine hectare precinct located between the Macquarie Park and North Ryde train stations in Sydney. The development will provide housing for over 5,000 residents with 2,700 apartments connected by parks, public areas and pedestrian links to North Ryde train station.

WGE have been engaged to deliver all consultancy services for the first development stage within the precinct. The project includes new community facilities, public plazas, retail and residential development on two of the precincts super lots.

Key project challenges include:

  • Acoustic treatment of the buildings which are located directly adjacent to three of Sydney’s busiest roads
  • Designing the structures within close proximity to the existing Epping to Chatswood rail tunnel
  • Designing a shared basement below an existing public road corridor
  • Integrating the stormwater drainage systems with the existing water harvesting system for the precinct
