Michael joined Wood & Grieve Engineers in January 2002 as a Graduate Civil Engineer and in 2005 was elevated to status of Project Engineer. In 2008 Michael became an Associate of the firm. In 2012 Michael became a Principal of the firm.
Michael’s responsibilities at Wood & Grieve Engineers include engineering design and documentation, client liaison, feasibility studies, obtaining authority approvals and superintendence of civil engineering projects.

Michael has specific and extensive experience in detailed planning and design of regional wastewater pump stations and water distribution mains.
His experience includes the detailed engineering design and superintendence of bulk earthworks, roadworks, sewer reticulation, stormwater drainage, retaining walls, water, gas and underground power reticulation for civil engineering and land development projects.
Michael has also undertaken design and superintendence of civil services for building projects, including liaison with other building services engineers, project managers and architects.

Outside work

Michael enjoys all things outdoors and related to the internal combustion engine, both 2 and 4 wheeled versions.

  • Wastewater Pump Stations – Planning, design and construction of all WGE wastewater pumping stations to service multiple master planned residential developments throughout Western Australia over the past 12 years.
  • Glenfield Beach Estate – Geraldton’s first master planned beachside residential estate yielding 3,000 lots, a commercial centre, a community centre and a primary school.
  • Onslow Townsite Re-development – Master planned townsite redevelopment including 2000 residential lots and Chevron’s Wheatstone operations village.
