Gift wrapping for a great cause this Christmas

Talk about precision present wrapping! Over the weekend four of Wood & Grieve’s Brisbane team put their gift wrapping skills to the test, helping to raise much-needed funds for Queensland’s only children’s hospice Hummingbird House. It’s estimated that 3700 children in QLD are affected by a life-limiting condition, and they need the ability to access medical facilities and 24/7 hospice care in a special place like Hummingbird House. Changing the Face of Men’s Health

The Movember Foundation is the leading global organisation committed to changing the face of men’s health. They achieve this by challenging men to grow moustaches during Movember (the month formerly known as November) to spark conversation and raise funds for prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health problems. Wood & Grieve help grow Ocean Keys shopping centre

Wood & Grieve are proud to see the Ocean Keys shopping centre officially open.  Our team undertook the civil and structural works for the project, which saw the shopping centre double in size – an enormous $108 million redevelopment and extension project.  The project involved extending the existing structure whilst maintaining trading to the majority of the existing shopping centre and surrounding precinct- quite a feat to undertake! The Association of Hydraulic Services Consultants (AHSCA) represents the professional body of Consulting Engineers who design Hydraulic and Fire services to the building industry. This year marks the 40th Anniversary of its foundation and as such the association held an event to celebrate. The function held at Darling Harbour in NSW had over 300 members and guests attending. Structuring a new greyhound facility

WGE’s Melbourne structural team are excited to be part of the $6.2M upgrade of the greyhound racing track and patrons’ facilities at Traralgon Greyhound Racing Club in Glenview Park.  At the recent official announcement of this project Premier of Victoria and Minister for Racing, Denis Napthine said the track at Glenview Park was over 40 years old and no longer met modern needs. “The redevelopment will include the construction of an entirely new track together with a standalone pavilion with modern hospitality services for patrons,” Dr Napthine said.
