Paul started his career in 1978 as a contracts engineer with a contracting company.
In 1980, Paul was appointed design engineer with a Perth consultancy. Here he was involved in the design and supervision of the mechanical services installations for a variety of commercial and institutional projects.
In 1982, Paul joined an Australia wide consultancy and was transferred to Melbourne to work with the design team on a major office and hotel development. Paul was involved in engineering submissions, capital costing, life cycle costing, systems comparison and recommendation, energy conservation measures, glazing studies as well as mechanical building services design and supervision.
Paul joined the Building Projects Section of WGE in 1984 as a Senior Engineer and was appointed an Associate in July 1984. Paul became a Principal of the company in July 1985 and has served as a Director of the company.
Since joining WGE Paul has carried out post-graduate studies in fire engineering and in 2002 he obtained his Graduate Diploma in Building Fire Safety and Risk Engineering.
Paul has managed the Mechanical Services section and is the current Fire Services Section Manager in WGE’s Perth office.
Outside of work
Paul is an avid football and cricket supporter and with one young family member, he is involved with numerous sporting club roles.
Paul’s other passions are the arts, travel and getting away to a holiday home in Guilderton.

I believe my wealth of knowledge and experience in mechanical and fire services helps me to provide great client service. I like to understand my client’s “big picture” goals so my team can provide concise and cost effective solutions or advice and I like to enjoy the ride.
